Starsector is a deep, top-down space combat and role-playing simulator that puts you in command of a fleet in the isolated Persean Sector. Often compared to “Mount & Blade in space,” the game combines physics-based tactical combat with a procedurally generated, living galaxy where every ship, trader, and pirate influences a persistent economy. You start with a single ship and can increase your influence by trading, smuggling in black markets, or hunting bounties for various warring factions, such as the militaristic Hegemony or the high-tech corporation Tri-Tachyon. Beyond combat, the game offers great depth thanks to its “flux” energy management system and detailed ship customization, allowing you to fine-tune every weapon and hull modification on your fleet.
