The House in Fata Morgana Dreams of the Revenants Edition is a static Gothic visual novel that follows the stories of multiple characters across different time periods in an attempt to reunite lost loves and explore seemingly irreconcilable feuds. You control a nameless character who is forgetting his past, waking up in a castle maintained by a dark-haired maid. She seems to know who you are. However, instead of speaking directly, she invites you to watch scenes from the past that take place in the castle in the hope that this information will help you remember who you are.
The stories she tells are all unique and take place in different periods, hundreds of years apart, but you’ll quickly realize they have similar themes. They all take place in castles, the maid appears in all of them, and each story seems to have a mysterious white-haired, red-eyed girl, although obviously she can’t be the same person all the time. And it all ends tragically, which the characters attribute to the castle being cursed by a witch who hasn’t yet appeared.
After the introduction, the main plot begins with the mystery of the maid and the witch, and you begin to be revealed, as well as trying to figure out why these four stories are interconnected. And that’s all I’ll say about the plot to avoid spoilers. Castle of Heart Retold NSP
The House in Fata Morgana Dreams of the Revenants Edition ROM Download Game story subtly touches on many adult themes. A key point is how physical, emotional, or other forms of abuse scar people and how they perceive this sense of trauma. Although the game has much dark content, such as torture, murder, rape, etc., it never treats this content as titillation but as real horror and often focuses on people having to face the consequences of such traumatic events.
