Core Keeper is a sandbox survival game developed by a small five-person studio called Pugstorm. The game has been in early access since March 2022, but it wasn’t until 2 years later that we got the full release of the game for the Nintendo Switch. In Core Keeper Switch ROM, you and your friends will explore an endless cavern filled with creatures, relics, and resources in a mining sandbox adventure built for 1 to 8 players. Mine, build, fight, craft, and farm to unravel the mystery of the ancient core.

The game is a top-down multiplayer Terraria with a little bit of Stardew Valley sprinkled in. You’ll immediately be impressed by the music, sound design, and art because it’s very easy on the ears and eyes. The goal of Core Keeper ROM Download is to expand the map by breaking down walls to discover new biomes and find treasures to repair the ancient core. While exploring and expanding the map, I noticed that the music changes depending on what type of biome you are in, which really adds to the immersion and feel of playing.

As you explore and do different tasks on the map, you will level up your skills and can unlock different upgrades and perks through the skill tree. There are 10 different skills: mining, running, melee combat, vitality, crafting, ranged combat, gardening, fishing, cooking, magic, and summoning.

Once a skill level is increased five times, the player will receive a talent point that can be spent in that skill’s corresponding talent tree. The talent tree consists of nodes that grant effects. I noticed that there is no fishing minigame, which, depending on who you are, could be a good or bad thing. Call me crazy, but I enjoy a good fishing minigame like Stardew Valley or Sun Haven, so I was a little disappointed at the lack of one. Fishing is a little bit like Animal Crossing, where you just cast your line and wait for the signal to reel it in, except it’s even easier than Animal Crossing because you don’t even have to cast ahead of the fish’s shadow; you just cast anywhere and wait for the sound and reel it in.
