Sleeping Dogs Torrent is an action-adventure video game. Players take on the role of Shen Wei, a Chinese-American police officer who goes undercover to infiltrate the Xin Anyi Triad. The game’s initial missions serve as a linear guide for character management. After completing these missions, players can explore the game world and engage in side quests and other activities. Shen Wei explores the world by running, jumping, climbing obstacles, swimming, and driving cars, boats, and motorcycles.
The head-up display (HUD) features a minimap that displays key objectives and locations (safe havens and hotspots), as well as Shen Wei’s current location. The minimap has two gauges: one displays Shen Wei’s health, and the other his face. When the face gauge is full, upgrades are unlocked, such as health regeneration, increased combat abilities, and reduced equipment consumption. The HUD also displays the weapons they are carrying and their ammo levels.
