Agent 47 embarks on a mission to track down the mysterious “Shadow Agent” and dismantle his militia. His first lead is the location of Alma Renard, one of the Shadow Agent’s lieutenants. Before eliminating her, 47 manages to extract some intelligence about the Shadow Agent’s activities from Renard’s home in New Zealand. Impressed by 47’s performance, Providence authorizes him and the CIA to track down the rest of the Shadow Agent’s militia.

When 47 asks Diana why the CIA is willing to cooperate with Providence, Diana replies that the two organizations share a common interest in putting an end to the Shadow Agent, whose activities are now causing global panic. She also reveals that Providence has secretly promised to uncover 47’s past.
