Ship of Harkinian The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I don’t have any early memories of it. I used to spend hours watching my older brothers play the game before I had the dexterity to try it out for myself. It felt like flying when I could eventually finish playing through it on my own. Once or twice a year, I try to get my fix of dopamine by playing through Ocarina of Time, which usually means bringing out my old GameCube and praying the disk isn’t too damaged to read.
However, I haven’t played Ocarina of Time on a Nintendo system at all for the past few months. Rather, I’ve been playing it on a PC game called Ship of Harkinian, an unofficial port of Legend of Zelda Ocarina ROM that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago.
Nintendo has kindly allowed me and other gamers to enjoy our passion for the Ocarina of Time Rom for Ship of Harkinian for decades now by re-releasing the highly acclaimed game on each of their home platforms since the Nintendo 64. These official ports have, in a sense, allowed the game to develop alongside me. However, not every port is made equal. To put it simply, the most recent re-release of Ocarina of Time XCI as part of the Nintendo Switch Online collection was appalling.
It has not always been easy to find somewhere to play the game. Before the Ship, to play the game on a PC, an emulator that emulated the hardware of a Nintendo console had to be used. Emulators are infamously picky, which can occasionally have a significant impact on gameplay. However, access to The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Ship of Harkinian source code—the readable code penned by the game’s developers—would be necessary to construct a native, non-emulated port.

How to Install it?
Unzip the ‘Ship of Harkinian (The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time) NSP.zip’ file.
Copy the ‘soh_debug’ folder to the root of your microSD card.
Install ‘Ship of Harkinian (The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time) [056783A0CC4A0000][v0].nsp’ using dbi or your preferred method.
For Suyu/Yuzu:
- Open the Yuzu emulator, click the “File” option, and select “Open Yuzu Folder”.
- Copy the ‘soh_debug’ folder to the ‘sdmc’ folder.
- Run ‘Ship of Harkinian (The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time) [056783A0CC4A0000][v0].nsp’ in Yuzu.
For Ryujinx:
- Open the Ryujinx emulator, click on the “File” option, and select “Open Ryujinx Folder”.
- Copy the ‘soh_debug’ folder to the ‘sdcard’ folder.
- Run ‘Ship of Harkinian (The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time) [056783A0CC4A0000][v0].nsp’ in Ryujinx.
